Meeting at Turin Airport (Caselle) or Milan Airport (Malpensa or Linate). Transfer to a charming and elegant 19th century country house, your lodging place in Langhe area. After the “welcome drink” relax and settle yourself down in your room. Next we will meet again for a “briefing” to inform you about the program of the tour. Free dinner tonight.

Around Asti
Today we will meet the Bologna family, the owners of the “Braida” winery. You will taste their excellent products among which the “mythical” Bricco dell’ Uccellone, father of the great Barbera aged in barrique. Visit to the historical centre of Asti; a walk among its nobiliary palaces, medieval towers, churches and cloisters. Then, a visit to the Tapestry Manufacture, housed in an ancient abbey in the nearby of Asti. Back to the Villa in the early afternoon. Dinner in one of the “temples” of our regional cuisine.

The Capital of Sparkling Wine
Tour to Canelli, historical centre of the production of Moscato and spumante. The itinerary towards our today destination winds through wonderful hills covered with “golden” vineyards. Visit to the historical centre of the small town and of S.Antonio, a hamlet which lies at the foot of Gancia Castle. Wine tasting at Contratto winery, with visit to the ancient cellar – digged through the hill ! – where the famous brut is produced. Then, we will stop in the near Nizza Monferrato and in particular at the Bersano Museum of rural tradition and culture. Tonight dinner free.

A Terrace over Piedmont
Visit to La Morra, small village which is one of the capitals of Barolo, and breathtaking overview on Langhe hills. After a walk through the vineyards surrounding the village, which are among the most famous cru of Barolo, we will meet Mr Elio Altare and his wines. It will be a unique opportunity to meet one of the wine makers-producers who have completely revolutionized wine making in Langa in the past 20 years. Tonight in a warmish and familiar west village michelin restaurant a dinner based on local dishes of the Piedmontese cuisine.
